- Statement of Work for lawn care maintenance Rapid City, SD. RFQ for lawn care maintenace services at the NWS Forecast Office Rapid City, SD. Department of Labor Wage Determination for Rapid City, SD. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS)/ Weather Forecast Office (WFO) located in Rapid City, SD are in need of a contractor that can provide lawn care maintenance services for their facility. The contractor will be responsible for providing lawn care services for a base period beginning on April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013, with four 12-month option periods. The contractor shall be responsible for satisfactorily managing and performing these services including but not limited to the following services: 1) Mow and rake grassy areas; 2) Trim around building & stationary objects; 3) Edge sidewalks; 4) Remove clippings and debris; 5) Mow non-irrigated portions of lawn; 6) Fertilize lawn, trees and shrubs; 7) Provide weed control; 8) Prune/trim trees and shrubbery; and 9) Sprinkler system maintenance Spring start up and Winterization. Contractor will be responsible for supplying all equipment, materials, and supplies. Services to be performed under this contract shall be performed during hours approved by the Government Contact Point (GCP) or a designated representative. Inspection and acceptance of work will be done by the GCP or their designated representative. Any business capable of completing this service listed above is encouraged to respond to this announcement. The NAICS code for this action is 561730. The Government prefers payment to be made by the Government Purchase Card. All contractors doing business with the Eastern Region Acquisition Division (ERAD) must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) or certification with the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). This is a Government initiative that was designed by the Integrated Acquisition Environment (IAE) to replace the paper Representations and Certifications (Reps & Certs) process. No award can be made unless the vendor is registered with CCR.
