- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government has a commodities requirement for Life Preserver Units (LPU-9P's). Equal items are acceptable. This is a total (100%) Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 315999 with a size standard of 500 employees; the SIC code is 2396. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The incorporated provisions and clauses are current according to Http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, parts, shipping, and all other items necessary to provide the following items: 0001 - LPU-9P or Equal (Quantity: 85 ea) Description: Life Preserver Units (LPU-9/P modified). Cell at a minimum must include all attachments including waist and 3 back straps. No inflator harness or bottles. Orange material. Inflator valveturned 1/4 counterclockwise for use with FLU-1 inflators. Stenciled in black 1/2" lettering "FOR TRAINING ONLY". Fastex buckles on waist strap instead of the metal buckles. Offerors quoting on other than the items listed shall provide sufficient technical literature to enable an evaluation of products as an "Or Equal".
