- RFP# GS05P12SIC0040 The General Services Administration (GSA) has a requirement for Waterproofing Basement & Storm Drain Piping Replacement at the Federal Parking Garage, 450 S. Federal Street, Chicago, IL. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. THIS PROJECT WILL BE PROCURED AS A COMMERCIAL ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR PART 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This notice shall serve as a combined synopsis & solicitation. Therefore, the solicitation is posted with this synopsis and can be downloaded instantly. A separate solicitation will not be posted. The solicitation may be accessed by clicking on the attached pdf file(s). The intent of the project is to waterproof the basement and replace the storm drain piping as described below: 1. Sealing the leak approximately two feet above grade which runs along the south exterior of the structure from the south west corner of the structure to column line GD. 2. Structural repairs to column GC14 at the basement level and structural repairs to the beam resting on column GC14 about 4 ft above grade. 3. Replacement of rusted existing hallow metal door, door frame and hardware at column GC13 in the basement. Work also includes: 1. Removal and Replacement of all existing exposed storm drain piping in the basement and sub-basement levels of the 450 S. Federal Garage. 2. Removal of existing catch basin and supporting concrete block structure between columns GC11 and GD12 in the basement and replacement with a floor drain. 3. Include the removal of existing vehicle exhaust system in the sub-basement. The contract completion time is 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range for all work is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is open to small business concerns only. The North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 238200 (Plumbing) with a size standard of $14 mio. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring FBO for amendments, if any, to the solicitation. All responsive proposals from responsible offerors will be considered. All proposals are to be submitted to General Services Administration, Attn: Kathern M. Williams, 230 S. Dearborn Street, 38th Floor, Chicago, IL 60604. Proposals are due on April 9, 2012 at 12:00 pm CST. Any questions regarding this notification should be directed to Ms. Williams.
