- The Purpose of the synopsis amendment is to correct the solicitation number. this synopsis is cancelled and reissued under FA 8251-12-R-00052. THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO CORRECT THE STATEMENT "A repair IDIQ with one year basic contract followed witha one year option is envisioned" BELOW, TO " A REPAIR TWO YEAR INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) IS ENVISIONED." NO OTHER CHANGES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO CHANGE THE RESPONSE DATE FOR THE SYNOPSIS TO FEBRUARY 13, 2012. NO OTHER CHANGES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. Set-aside Status: This requirement will be set-aside to qualified sources only Competition Status: The Government intends to award sole source to Lockheed Martin using justification listed in FAR 6.302-1. Other responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Synopsis: Repair of A-10 Signal Data Processor, also known as Central Interface Control Unit (CICU) The USAF intends to release a Request For Proposal on or about 30 JAN 2012, for the purpose of providing for contract repair of the A-10 Signal Data Processor (also known as CICU) and related Circuit Card Assemblies for the A-10 aircraft. The intent of this acquisition is to provide time for USAF to stand up organic maintenance. This requirement will remain in place until USAF organic capability can support all field requirements. The USAF intends to establish a sole source contract with Lockheed Martin (DBA Lockheed Martin System Integration (LMSI)-Owego, 1801 State RT 17 C, Owego, NY 13827-3900, CAGE Code 03640). Lockheed Martin is the only known source with capability to repair the A-10 Signal Data Processor (also known as CICU) and related Circuit Card Assemblies.
