- Return Package Exhibit 2 Map Exhibit 1 Map Solicitation Cover Sheet This solicitation is for a hazard fuels reduction project on the Beartooth Ranger District of the Custer National Forest for approximately 119 acres. The Main Fork Rock Creek (MFRC) Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project is a continuation of the District's hazard fuels program to provide reduced wildfire intensities through vegetation treatments and reduced fuel loading. The MFRC units are south of Red Lodge, Montana. These treatments are intended to reduce potential wildfire intensity on National Forest System lands adjacent to highly popular and heavily used recreational campgrounds located up the Main Canyon Rock Creek along Forest Road #2421 and near Highway 212. The project objectives are to reduce wildland fire intensities through reducing hazardous fuel loading, facilitate safer evacuation of the public and access to the area by firefighters, and protect values at risk (e.g. municipal watershed, infrastructure at developed campgrounds). The project is located on the Beartooth Ranger District on the Custer National Forest, Carbon County, MT. The MFRC units are approximately 12 miles south of Red Lodge, Montana.
