- The Hood River Ranger Station Visitor's Information Services Portal is a remodel of approximately 1,140 square feet of an office building and addition of approximately 500 square feet to the existing building. The site work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing vegetation, pavement, and general site preparation. Remodel work includes, but is not limited to, partial demolition of an outer wall and interior walls of the building. New construction will consist of concrete foundations, lumber walls, heavy timbered roof, reception desk, and interpretive displays. The new construction will also include the installation of electrical, HVAC, security, lighting, and telecommunication/data systems. Optional bid items include: 1) reconfiguring the northeast employee entrance, 2) construction of asphalt parking stalls, 3) construction of aggregate parking stalls, 4) supply and installation of a prefabricated concrete restroom structure, and 5) installation of fire-rated corridors. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required in accordance with the drawings and specifications of the contract. The solicitation will be posted to this website on or after March 23, 2012. PROJECT LOCATION : The project is located at the Hood River Ranger Station on the Mt. Hood National Forest. Physical address is 6780 Highway 35, Parkdale, OR. SOLICITATION DETAILS : The following preliminary details are provided for the benefit of prospective offerors, but are subject to change in the actual solicitation. Price range for base bid items only is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract Type: Firm fixed-price. Period of Performance: 180 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation Type: Request for Proposal Bonding Requirement: Bid Bond (20%) submitted with proposal; Performance and Payment Bonds (100% each) submitted after award of contract. PARTICIPATION : This project is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible and Small Business Administration (SBA) certified small business concerns may submit an offer which will be considered. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION : By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, the reader will be automatically notified via email of any changes to this project. PLAN HOLDER LISTS : The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan holders lists that were previously available with solicitation packages. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest.
