- This announcement is a notice of intent to extend an existing contract on a sole source basis to Xerox Corporation, 7900 West park Dr. STE A400 McLean VA 22102-4214, for the Copier Maintenance Services contract at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The proposed contract action will extend the performance period of Contract W9124Q-09-F-1028 by one-year under the authority of FAR 8.405-6, Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Estimated dollar value of this action is $53,877.06, for the period of performance: 1 April 2012 - 31 March 2013. The Government's intent is to extend the current services with Xerox Corporation in order for White Sands Missile Range to continue using the copiers until the centralization of copier services can begin via an enterprise-wide contract to be awarded by the ACC-APG which is expected to be in place by late summer 2012. Since the copiers remain on the installation and must be removed within the next six months there is no possibility that other contractors can meet the current requirement for use of these copiers until their removal. Comments should be submitted to the contracting office by email to: Dennis.g.donaldson.civ@mail.mil, no later than 19 March 2012 at 1200 MST. Comments submitted for consideration of other methods will not be evaluated. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333293.
