- This is a Sources sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. This is an initial step in the planning process to acquire needed items for the Barksdale AFB. Barksdale requires the following brand name or equal accessories that are compatible for use with General Dynamics C4 Systems URC-200 transceivers: 0001 PN# 01-P34336E001 brand name or equal. Description: UDD-100A : 12V Car Mounting Kit. Expanded Description: Includes cables and mounting bracket for automobile installation. QTY: 2 EA 0002 PN# 85-P39221N001 brand name or equal. Description: UVU-110S : UVU-100S with Mounting Kit, which includes a UVU-100S antenna, vehicle mount and 18 ft. antenna cable. QTY: 2 EA 0003 PN# 01-P39310N001 brand name or equal. Description: PTSH-104K : Amplified Remote Speaker (universal mount) and the 4 ft. LSCA-103A cable. QTY: 2 EA 0004 PN# 50-P39208N001 brand name or equal. Description: PTMP-150 : Hand Microphone QTY: 2 EA The 2nd Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, seeks potential sources that can supply the items described. All businesses capable of providing this item are invited to respond with capability packages no later that 12 pm, March 12, 2012. Businesses shall provide information sufficient enough to allow the Government to assess their capability to provide the required items. Any information provided as a result of this sources sought is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. Interested offerors can submit their capability package via email to tonya.hughes@barksdale.af.mil. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, which has a small business size standard of 750 employees. This sources sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach.
