- Amendment #1 This amendment #1 to RFP 206267 is issued to, extend the proposal due date, change the estimated award date, add an additional specification requirement and provide answers to offeror generated questions. Specifically this RFP is modified as follows: Proposal Due Date: The proposal due date is changed to April 9, 2012. Estimated Award Date: The estimated award date is changed to May 15, 2012. Updated Specification Requirement: The Attachment (B) specification to the Enclosure (1) draft contract is modified as follows: In section 3.3 UHV "Vacuum System Requirements" the following paragraph (3.6.5) is added: " 3.6.5 The base pressure of the system with optics shall be < 1x10 -9 mbar" Offeror generated questions and corresponding answers: Question #1 What is the maximum pressure allowed in the vessel with the mirror and bending system installed? Answer #1 < 1x10 -9 mbar Question #2 Do you really require to bake the optics and bending system at 120°C? Is this a must? Answer #2 Yes, it is a must to achieve < 1x10 -9 mbar in the system with the optics and the bending system installed. This is required because of the proximity of the monochromator that is sensitive to vacuum conditions, and the impossibility to introduce vacuum barriers between both components. Except as noted herein, all requirements as set forth in RFP solicitation request 206267 remain unchanged. Any questions should be addressed in writing to the attention of George Woods.
