Description
US Army Contracting Command - Warren, Warren, MI, intends to award a modification to existing contract W56HZV-11-C-0358. This supplemental agreement will result in a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee, completion contract. The total estimated amount is $450k, with no options. A letter RFP will be sent directly to BAE Systems, Minneapolis, Minnesota. In accordance with FAR 5.2.07(c)(16), a copy of the FRP can be obtained by emailing jonathan.p.neill.civ@mail.mil. The planned contract action will add 12 months of continued development and testing support. The proposed effort contemplates the award to integrate the PPUMA 11s that were designed, tested, and developed by BAE Systems and the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) (contract W911QX-08-C-0077) and purchased in TARDEC's Phase I effort (contract W56HZV-10-C-L595), into a Pulse Power System; and (b) provided technical and laboratory support for the development of the Pulse Power System and engineering related to the BAE Systems' PPUMA 11 (TARDEC's Phase II effort). The Government intends to procure these services on an other than full and open competition basis with BAE Systems under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.' A period of performance of 12 months is anticipated to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement to jonathan.p.neill.civ@mail.mil. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 11:00 a.m., local time, Warren, MI, 22 MAR 2012. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
