- Base Wide Painting/Corrosion Control IDIQ Contract Notice Type: Sources Sought The 30th Contracting Squadron is publicizing this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to gather industry information and input with respect to a potential Base Wide Painting/Corrosion Control Contract at Vandenberg AFB, CA. and its associated sites. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB), and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award of a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result. The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Any future solicitation, including specifications and/or drawings, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov/). Interested Parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for the release of a solicitation package and/or any updates and/or amendments. The government is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested potential businesses capable of performing the type of work as described herein. The envisioned Painting Contract would consist of a firm-fixed-price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide a vehicle for executing a Vandenberg AFB Painting/Corrosion Control contract. For the purpose of this Request for Information (RFI), the anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 238320 /Painting Contractors, with a size standard of $14,000,000. All interested parties are invited to respond and must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (http://www.ccr.gov). This acquisition could result in a competitive 8(a) set aside, and is anticipated it would be open to firms located in California only. The basic contract is anticipated as a Firm Fixed Price ID/IQ type contract awarded using Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) and best value criteria. Should a future requirement evolve from this preliminary planning process, it is anticipated that one (1) contract would be awarded, for a term consisting of one base year plus four, one-year option periods. The maximum contract value shall not exceed $8M during the life of the contract. The guaranteed minimum contract amount is $5,000 for the basic period only. Work for this contract will include, but is not limited to, painting and corrosion maintenance at Vandenberg AFB, CA and its associated sites. Task Orders written against the Painting/Corrosion Control ID/IQ are anticipated to range between $400. and $100,000. During the contract period, Painting/Corrosion Control tasks will be identified to the contractor who then must furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to propose, manage and accomplish the job. The contractor shall be required to maintain a management office near Vandenberg AFB, CA at their own expense in order to receive work requests and to provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. The amount of individual jobs will vary annually in regards to dollar value as mentioned above and will be contingent upon annual budget changes from year to year. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of areas, paint striping, rust removal, interior and exterior prime and paint, waterproofing and corrosion control.
