- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation nor a request for quotes. The purpose of this announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources, including their size classification. This Sources Sought Announcement shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract, and this announcement does not restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government shall in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 812320. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center is seeking information on a potential Contractors are required to have a contingency service plan to cover plant operation, delivery, and pick up of laundry during periods of disruption due to plant malfunction, labor disputes, natural disasters, or personnel shortages due to vacation, or sick leave. It is important that service not be disrupted. Sources interested in this notice shall submit the following information: Company name, address, point of contact, phone, email address, DUNS number cage code, size of business pursuant to North American industrial classification system (NAICS) 812320. Responses to this notice shall be in writing by e-mail addressed to kieu.dinh@va.gov with "Contingency Linen Service" in the subject line. All responses must be received in writing no later than 4:00 PM CST. March 9, 2012. Telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is to help the VA medical center in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this request for information notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award or to be added to prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation.
