Description
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, San Diego (NAVSUP FLCSD), Regional Contracts Department, is conducting a sources sought to determine the interest and capability of industry to participate in a competitive acquisition to provide the following types of containers in support of the Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center (NFELC). The purpose of this notice is to gather information about available containers that can meet the following minimum requirements: Description ISO TRICON D2A/D2B Steel 8'L x 8'H x 6-1/2'W TRICON II 1. Corrugated steel sides, roof + swing doors on both sides 2. Heavy duty steel floor (4) way fork lift pockets 3. Wall tie down steel lashing rings, 4,000 lbs. cap. each (16 total) 4. Door corner post tie downs (20 total) = restraint system, shoring slot will support 2" x 6" Lumber 5. Vents, (2) each (Closable) 6. Manifest box (2) each (On the right door, one inside and one outside) 7. Connecting Couplers, (3) Per TRICON 8. Connecting Coupler Storage Bracket (1) EA TRICON II 1. Corrugated steel sides, roof + swing doors on all sides 2. Heavy duty steel floor (4) way fork lift pockets 3. Wall tie down steel lashing rings, 4,000 lbs. cap. each (16 total) 4. Vents, (2) each (Closable) 5. Manifest box (2) each (One inside and one outside) 6. Connecting Couplers (3) Per TRICON 7. Connecting Coupler Storage Bracket (1) EA ISO Container STD Bulk 20' x 8' x8' ISO Container, Armory, TRICON Steel Type II, 8 ™x8 ™x6.5 ™ In response to this Sources Sought synopsis, provide via EMAIL ONLY, your CAGE Code, DUNS, CCR status (with expiration date), and your capability statement along with a point of contact. Clearly identify your company size (LB, SB, SDB, SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, or 8(a)). In addition, please advise if you are a distributor or manufacturer of the container and where the containers are manufactured. This Sources Sought is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). The request is for informational purposes only. It is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability and adequacy of potential competitive sources prior to issuing an RFP. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be made. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this Sources Sought. It is requested that interested sources submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 5 total pages in length, 12-point font minimum) addressing capabilities to meet the minimum requirement above. Interested parties should submit the required information in electronic Microsoft Word or PDF format to Lenette Santana via email to lenette.santana@navy.mil. Submittals will not be returned to the sender. FLCSD will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning. Submissions must be received no later than 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on 22 March 2012. Questions regarding this synopsis shall be submitted in an email. No phone calls will be accepted.
