- The Government intends to procure, under only one responsible source and no other suppliers will satisfy agency requirements, the following item: 1. SEL-351S Protection System manufactured by Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. which includes the following features: a. SafeLock Trip/Close Pushbuttons. The SafeLock system keeps pushbuttons secure when not in use and accommodates tag-out procedures. b. Large Operator Controls. Large front-panel keyboard with local display panel and programmable operator control interface pushbuttons. c. Compatible with existing acSELerator ® QuickSet SEL-5030 Software. Develop relay settings offline, program SELogic ® control equations, and analyze post-fault event reports. d. Compatible with existing utilized Mirrored Bits ® Communications Technology. Provides fast and reliable relay-to-relay communication for advanced communications-assisted protection. This should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation. Interested parties with a comparable product meeting the requirements are invited to submit complete product information and specifications. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become U.S. Government property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Interested parties shall submit information and specifications to Ms. Rika Delaunay via email at rika.delaunay@navy.mil. Interested parties should respond to this announcement by 23 March 2012 at 4:00 p.m. H.S.T.
