Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN-6 VA Healthcare System has a requirement for a vendor to provide medical cylinder gases to VA Medical Centers throughout Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 6 and their associated outpatient clinics. The addressed of the medical centers are as follows: VAMC Asheville, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805 VAMC Beckley, 200 Veterans Avenue, Beckley, WV 25801 VAMC Durham, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705 VAMC Fayetteville, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 VAMC Hampton, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667 Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249 VAMC Salem, 1970 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153 W. G. "Bill" Hefner VAMC, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144 The addresses of the VISN-6 Outpatient Clinics are listed in the attached Request for Proposal. The gases to be purchased include, but are not limited to compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, and specialty medical gas mixtures. Quantities are specified in attached Request for Proposal and vary by station. The vendor will fill and deliver Government owned cylinder and Vendor Owned Cylinders. The vendor must also be capable of testing and inspecting Government owned cylinders. Vendors will be required to comply with Department of Transportation regulations, FDA regulations, and CGA standards and guides as stated in the solicitation. This is a Small-Business set aside. The solicitation due date is 19 March 2012. The anticipated initial contract period begins April 1, 2012 and ends 31 March 2013, with two option years which will begin April 1, 2013 and end March 31, 2014, and April 1, 2014, ending March 31, 2015. An indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery requirements contract will be awarded to the successful vendor(s). Interested bidders may provide proposals for any or all medical centers. It is the responsibility of the offeror to check the web site periodically for any amendments/notices to the solicitation. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access in FedBiz Ops. CCR registration must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
