- GS-05P-12-SE-C-0020 Chiller & Pump Replacement Minneapolis Federal Building 212 3rd Avenue South Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55415 The General Services Administration has a need for a contractor to furnish and install a chiller at the Minneapolis Federal Building. The awardee shall provide new chillers and associated primary/secondary pumping system to replace existing chilled water plant. Remove existing chillers and pumps. Remove piping only as needed to install new chiller and pumps. Make reconnections to existing chilled water pipes. Additionally, remove existing connections (including feeder, conduit, starters, etc) back to source. Evaluate existing conduits from switchboard to chillers for reuse for new feeders. Route new 800A feeders from existing DP-2 distribution panel added under Electrical Upgrades project utilizing (2) spare 800A3P circuit breakers to chiller location. Route feeders to (4) new chill water pumps. Furnish and install starters, including VFDs, to these pump motors. At this time funding is not available for this project. If and when funding becomes available, the government will award a firm fixed price contract for the aforementioned services. Performance based contracting does not apply to this procurement as this acquisition is for construction services. The estimated project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 238220 with a Small Business Administration size standard of $14 million. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued on or around March 22, 2012. The solicitation and any subsequent documents related to this procurement will be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (www.fbo.gov). FedBizOpps is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. Demonstration videos and assistance with using FedBizOpps is available through the website. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as Central Contract Registration (CCR), and is available for use by all Federal agencies. No hard copies of the solicitation or related documents will be mailed. Contractors are responsible for downloading their own copies of this solicitation, amendments, and other documents related to this solicitation. The due date and time for the receipt of proposals will be set at the time the full solicitation is posted. All government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award, as of October 1, 2003. You may access CCR at www.bpn.gov. In addition, as of January 1, 2005, all vendors are required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission process per the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
