- Drawings SOW ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to tile the shower floor in the men's locker room at the base gym. The work of this project is intended to repair and renovate the shower to bring the shower into compliance with ABAAG/GSE-2004. The Contractor will strip down the floor and wall coverings of the existing shower to bare studs (for the interior walls) and down to concrete/furring strips (for the exterior wall) and the resilient floor covering, removed. Both doors into the shower are to be removed; the main entrance door and frame shall be replaced. The existing, adjacent handicap shower seat is to be relocated so that distances in the shower assy. Are handicap-code compliant. All handicap furnishings are to have backer plates (or equivalent). Contractor must be IAW SOW. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of technical, cost and past performance. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: NONE. Performance Period is 14-30 days. Work to be performed May - Jun 30, 2012. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: Shower Floor System, Steam Room Floor System, Accessibility Upgrade, Tiling, Sketches of the work, Shower System, Optional Shower System Per Submittals Section of SOW. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY March 21, 2012. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD Apr 12, 2012, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.)
