- Sole Source Justification Statement of Work This is a synopsis prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. This is a Notice of Intent. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number for this acquisition is NIH-OD2428230 and is being issued under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The anticipated award date is March 13, 2012. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 923110. The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations, on the behalf of National Institute of Nursing Research intends to procure on a sole source basis from Foundation For Advanced Education in the Sciences; a training course designed to provide a foundation in molecular genetics among advanced practice nurses. Graduates of the program will receive 8 hours of doctoral level college credit for the course. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; Electronic submission will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please reference the announcement number on all correspondence.
