- Description
- The VA Roseburg Healthcare System (VARHCS) requests a contract with a local community medical center to perform specialized surgeries at Mercy Medical Center, for a period of performance of one (1) year, with four (4) option one-year extensions to be exercised to meet the needs of VARHCS. VARHCS has sought to provide Veterans with predictable continuity of care in the local community. Of relevance to this request is the development of a long-term relationship between the VARHCS and a local community medical center that will be the contractor for this requirement. The requirement is for the local community medical center to provide surgical facilities to VARHCS on a contract basis. The local community medical center must be within a one (1) hour drive by car or ambulance from VARHCS to be considered maintaining service in the local community.
