Description
The requirement is for the purchase of a High Power IFF/TACAN Pulse Amplifier which shall be capable of generating TACAN pulses over the frequency range of 960 to 1215 MHz of peak user or GPIB controlled pulsed power of at least 2.5 kW and will be used to calibrate transponder test sets, peak power meters, radar and TACAN test sets. The proposed item must meet the requirements of AFMETCAL Purchase Description 12E-121A-RF, Rev. 1, dated 23 August 2011. AFMETCAL intends to award a commercial contract utilizing Best Value LPTA source selection procedures under FAR Part 12. The required quantity is for two each first production units and 24 each production units with data including technical manual and calibration certificate in accordance with DD Forms 1423. There are options for anticipated quantities of up to 25 each in FY13, up to 19 each in FY14, and up to 11 each in FY15. The first production units will be shipped to Offutt AFB and will undergo a 45 day acceptance test period. Upon acceptance of the first production units delivery of the remaining units will be a minimum of 3 each maximum of 5 each due 90 days after acceptance of the first production units and continue at the rate of 3-5 each every 30 days until delivery is complete. Remaining units will be shipped to Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMELs) throughout the U.S and will undergo acceptance testing to be completed 45 days after receipt of unit at destination. Delivery shall be FOB destination. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued approximately 21 March 2012. Date for receipt of offers will be posted at that time. The solicitation package including purchase description and DD Forms 1423 will be posted at this site.
