- RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Operations Center Pacific located in Newport, OR has a requirement for following Henriksen brand name items: 1.) QTY 8 EA P/N HH000028 HMKST 8.0, MOB-HOOK, WLL 8.0 T 2.) QTY 8 SET P/N HH 000516 BOLTS W/LOCKNUTS-HMK 5-8, M30X110 3.) QTY 4 EA P/N HH003093 HSLFC 8.0, SWIVEL JOINT, WLL 8.0 T 4.) QTY 4 EA P/N HH000687 BOLTS W/LOCKNUTS-HSL 8, M30X90 5.) QTY 8 EA P/N HH170659 HLR 8.0, LIFTING RING, WLL 10 T All quotations must be FOB destination NOAA Ship Fairweather Newport, OR 97365. Henriksen hooks are safety quick release hooks that are designed for fast rescue crafts, man overboard boats, daughter crafts, Rigid Inflatable Boats, and workboats for weights up to 15000 kg. The hooks are used by offshore, shipping, seismic, and military services, with an excellent track record all over the world. Currently, the NOAAS Ship Rainier has Henriksen hooks installed on the four launch davits. The value of using these hooks is that it will standardize the recover/deployment of the survey launches on the Hydrographic Survey Ships (NOAAS Rainier (RA) and NOAAS Fairwether (FA)). By installing the same hardware on the FA as on the RA, it will allow to exchange boats for operational purposes. It will also allow for each Ship to transport the others Launch if needed. The requested brand name products or feature is essential to Government's requirements therefore product substitution is not acceptable for this procurement. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 332999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract with required delivery date of no later than April 30, 2012. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
