Description
CONTRACTING POC: Hal Broek (harold.d.broek@usace.army.mil); (206) 764-6573 ALTERNATE POC: Erik Lundstrom (Erik.A.Lundstrom@usace.army.mil); (206) 764-6698 Project is open to all 8(a) Certified or 8(a) Joint Venture Certified Businesses in Washington State. It is the intent of Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) to pre-qualify Design/Build contractors and sub-contractors in the construction of concrete or steel potable water reservoirs, well drilling, and associated appurtenances for upcoming work of this type on JBLM. The estimated construction cost of the project is $9,000,000.00. Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a requirement that includes the design and construction of two tanks at three sites, for a total of six tanks, each tank with a capacity of 750,000 gallons. The tanks are to be installed adjacent to the existing tanks on top of Miller Hill, Noble Hill, and Ross Hill. Also included in the scope is the construction of a new water well at each of the three locations, and the construction of about 2000 feet of 6" PVC purple pipe along 3rd Division Drive from Pendleton to Owen Avenue for future reclaimed water use. Existing security appurtenances at the water tank reservoir sites shall be expanded to accommodate the new water tank reservoirs. The sites are located on hills with steep drop offs on all sides. Suitable imported fill material will be required to accommodate the construction of the new water tank reservoirs. The water tank reservoirs are to provide both pressure and sustainment for firefighting requirements for the installation. The Contract Cost Limitation is $9,000,000.00, and the project completion period is estimated at 540 calendar days. The NAICS code for this project is 237110 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. The solicitation will be a Two-Phase Design-Build, Best Value Procurement conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP), and one firm-fixed-price contract will be negotiated as a result.
