Description
Robins AFB, Georgia intends to procure one (1) Lot of Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC), P/N G554931-3 and one (1) Lot of Linear Application Specific Integrated Circuits (LASIC) P/N G555838-1 in support of an upcoming USAF acquisition for AN/ALE-50 Towed Decoy production. The AN/ALE-50 Towed Decoy System (TDS) is an anti-missile countermeasures decoy system used on multiple U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps aircraft. The ALE-50 system consists of a launcher, launch controller installed on the aircraft, and one or expendable towed decoys. When deployed, the decoy is towed behind the host aircraft, protecting aircraft and crew against RF-guided missiles by luring the missile toward the decoy and away from the intended target. The delivery schedule is approximately 6 months ARO and the subject material will ship in place for use in an upcoming AN/ALE-50 Towed Decoy production run. This procurement will be accomplished utilizing only one source in accordance with policy at 10 USC 2304(c), as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, CAGE 06129 is the OEM of the AN/ALE-50 Towed Decoy system. As the OEM, Raytheon retains proprietary rights to the engineering documentation to include test requirements/procedures and system drawings. Additionally, only Raytheon possess the applicable support and test equipment to verify the system requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level. Solicitation is expected to be released on or around 15 March 2012, with a response due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will NOT be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. If you desire to obtain a copy (NO TECHNICAL DATA AVAILABLE), your emailed request must be submitted to Magdalene Dickerson at Magdalene.Dickerson@robins.af.mil. No telephone requests will be honored.
