- Notice of intent to award to Colorado Department of Corrections, Canon City, for metal rear loading bear proof/resistant containers with a delivery date of May 18, 2012, if no small business vendors can provide the needed product and meet the delivery time frame. Request for information (pricing, descriptions, brochures, etc) due to contracting officer by 3:00 pm on March 9, 2012. Description of containers required: Qty 12 dumpsters - must be rear loading metal, 4 cubic yard bear proof/resistant dumpsters with dump bar and castors (wheels) in order to be dumped by our trash providers. Self latching locks on each door are also required to ensure users close them properly. Qty 8 trash can containers - must be single metal 35 gallon bear proof/resistant containers capable of holding our 32 gallon trash cans. Delivery should be included in pricing. Delivery is needed by May 18, 2012 to get containers placed at campgrounds prior to open season. 6 dumpsters and 4 trash can containers will be delivered to each of the following locations: Conejos Peak Ranger District, 15571 Cty. Rd. T-5, La Jara, CO 81140 and Divide Ranger District, 13308 W. Hwy. 160, Del Norte, CO 81132. Vendors need to indicate whether they are small or large business and must be registered in CCR. For CCR registration, please refer to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.204-7 for instructions. Award will be based on a Commercial Item award and the following FAR clauses will be applied at time of award: 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations & Certifications-Commercial Items. Evaluation-commercial item will be based on providing comparable or like product that meets needs stated, delivery time and price.
