Description
Requirements/Discription - Line Items The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Energy and Environment Division of the Office of Building Research have a requirement for a Data Acquisition (DAQ) Unit. The specific tasks are described in the specifications included in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ, SB1341-12-Q-0164, is being issued utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by NIST. A detailed Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available in the solicitation package. The period of performance will be twelve months from the date of contract award. The standard classification NAICS code is 334119. Background: The Data Acquisition (DAQ) system will be used for measurements of thermal performance of the ground heat exchangers that are part of Net-Zero Energy Research Test Facility (NZERTF). Specification criteria were established to ensure that the DAQ system can: 1. Record measurements from the temperature, flow, and power sensors (83 RTD channels, 21 Voltage in channels, 4 Current In channels, 1 Voltage, Out channel, 2 Current Out channels) 2. Withstand the environmental limits required to operate in an outdoor environment (temperatures, - 10F to 120 F) 3. Use DC power, rather than AC power, to increase the electrical safety of the installation. 4. Support Ethernet (LAN) communication 5. Physically fit within underground enclosures designed to protect the DAQ system (<10.25" length,<5" width,<5" height). The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about February 28, 2012 and will only be available on FEDBIZOPPs at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored and no bidder lists will be maintained. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov. Potential offerors are required to direct all questions via email to david.burton@nist.gov.
