Item: TRANSFORMER RECTIFIER UNIT (TRU)6. NSN: 6120013156293MW7. PN: DAA3383P033-1078. Description: The TRU consists of a self-contained power supply modulecalled the Squib TRU (A1), a dual power supply module, and theElectronics/Hydraulics TRU (A2). It functions as a triple output DCpower supply using 113 vac, 400Hz inputs for use of aircraftelectronics. 9. Total Line Item Quantity: L/I 0001 - qty 6 ea, Repair of NSN 6120013156293MWL/I 0002 - qty 1 ea, Over and Above for Repair of 6120013156293MWL/I 0003 - qty 1 lot, Data 10. Mandatory Language: One or more of the items under this acquisitionmay be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved andimplemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979.All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, ELDECCORPORATION, LYNNWOOD, WA. 98037-8503 under the authority of FAR 6.302.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respondto the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not arequest for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government notto compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informationreceived will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interestedpersons may identify to the contracting officer their interest andcapability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercialitem within 15 days of this notice. Prospective vendors must comply with all the requirements of thesolicitation and its attachments to be considered responsive. TheGovernment does not intend to hold discussion but may hold discussion ifit is deemed necessary. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concernsfrom offerors or potential offerors during the proposal developmentphase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not todiminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer,but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
