- THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR OFFERS OR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INTEREST FIRMS OR CONTRACTORS TO SUBMIT THEIR CREDENTIALS. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION OR AWARD A CONTRACT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF TECHNICALLY CAPABLE AND OTHERWISE RESPONSIBLE FIRMS THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING OFFERS FOR THIS ANTICIPATED SOLICITATION. The General Services Administration, Public Building Service is seeking sources capable of performing construction services to verify existing site conditions and capacity, and provide construction services for replacement of Chiller No. 5 with an appropriately sized chiller (estimated currently at 15 ton), including all associated equipment, piping, valves, controls, and other items, for a complete job in the Long Federal Office Building, Baton Rouge, LA. Chiller No. 5 is part of a system of five chillers serving the Long Federal Building complex. Four of the chillers have been replaced recently as part of a separate project, with Chiller No. 5 (7 ton capacity) remaining to be replaced. The replacement equipment shall be tied into the existing Building Automation System (BAS). The estimated cost range for all work is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Work to be performed under the contemplated contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238220 with a size standard of $14 Million. All offerors are advised that this project may be revised or canceled at any time during the sources sought, synopsis, solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and final award. The solicitation will be available on or about March 30, 2012. In responding to this sources sought, please register your firm online via the interested vendors tab on this notice. Please note that there is no solicitation available at this time; the purpose of this announcement is to identify available sources only. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered in the Central Contractor registration at http://www.ccr.gov and have completed on-line representations and Certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov.
