- Special Notice The Information Directorate at the Rome Research Site (RRS) will host a two day, unclassified Industry Day for two upcoming solicitations at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park. (1) Research, Enhancement and Deployment of the Enterprise Cross Domain Solution (REDE-CDS): The effort will focus on researching new Cross Domain Transfer Solutions, enhancing current solutions and deploying /supporting these solutions to meet operational mission requirements. See previous Sources Sought Notice in the FedBizOPs announcement related to REDE. https://www.fbo.gov/spg/USAF/AFMC/AFRLRRS/FA8750-13-R-0001/listing.html (2) High-Security Environment Infrastructure Development & Integration (HEIDI): The effort will concentrate on researching new Multi-Level Access (MLA) technologies, enhancing current solutions, and deploying /supporting these solutions to meet operational mission requirements. See previous Sources Sought Notice in the FedBizOPs announcement related to HEIDI. https://www.fbo.gov/spg/USAF/AFMC/AFRLRRS/E-2-1273_HEIDI/listing.html As background information, the REDE-CDS effort is responsible for cross domain data transfer systems that facilitates secure information sharing and exchange among different security domains while protecting the security domains from unauthorized access or malicious attack and auditing all data transfer events. The HEIDI effort is responsible for a multi-level virtual thin client architecture that is currently being fielded throughout the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. The purpose of the Industry Days is to: (1) Provide interested companies with an overview of both solicitations (2) Enable industry to better understand requirements, goals, priorities and business opportunities (3) Help industry to prepare for the upcoming RFPs (4) Provide an opportunity for information sharing and encourage partnering opportunities and teaming relationships Specifics about the informational meeting: (1) Date: Tuesday, 13 March 2012 (2) Location: AFRL Rome Research Site, 26 Electronics Parkway, Rome NY 13441-4514, Building 106, Auditorium (3) Time: Check-in 8:00, 8:30 to 12:00AM General Session, 1:00 to 4:00PM, individual sessions. Attendees should be U.S. citizens and need to send clearances by March 6, 2012 to gain access to the facility. Clearances should be sent by your security officer via JPAS to AFRL using SMO CODE: LK1MFSD15. This will help to avoid delays. Prohibited items in the RRS facility includes: Cell phones, PDA, audio/video recorders, cameras, pagers, wireless devices, computer media, laptops, thumb drives, IPOD/MP3 players, firearms and illegal substance. All brief cases are subject to search. Recommend that these items be left in your vehicles. RRS access and parking: Names of individual industry representatives will be provided to the gate guard. That will facilitate entrance and minimize delays. Visit request form will be used to create an Entry Access List for the RRS Security Force. Designated parking spaces will be provided adjacent to building 106. Information related to directions, lodging and the Request for Visit Authorization to RRS can be found at: http://www.wpafb.af.mil/afrl/ri/ http://www.wpafb.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-080603-006.pdf Agenda for the informational exchange will include: • No conference fee and no refreshments will be provided. • A series of briefings by Government PMO personnel during the morning of the first day describing both solicitations, their scope, requirements and a program overview. • At the conclusion of the presentations, PMO personnel will answer any general questions from the attendees. • At noon, the general session will conclude. • Attendees are encouraged to submit written questions in advance. • Individual one-on-one sessions will be scheduled between Government PMO personnel and individual industry representative. Separate REDE-CDS and HEIDI sessions will be held. A sign-up sheet for each solicitation will be provided. Select an open half hour block for your company to have time with a government representative for either REDE-CDS and/or HEIDI PMO. Please only one appointment per company per solicitation.
