- Description
- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for Solicitation HSSS01-12-R-0028 for a sole source procurement. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed priced commercial contract with MITRE Corporation in order to maintain the current facilities of the Cyber Intelligence Section, Criminal Investigative Division. The required processes and tools involve linguistic, cultural, and technical subject matter expertise in the investigative and intelligence cycle. MITRE is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center System Engineering Company (FFRDC)and is the only vendor who can provide these capabilities. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541330. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the System Engineering as detailed above. Responses may only be sent via e-mail to Linda McAdams at linda.mcadams@usss.dhs.gov. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Submission of information does not guarantee this requirement to become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to not open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All submissions shall be submitted to the Government by no later than 15 March, 2012 at 9:00 am EST. After which time, a Sole Source contract with MITRE Corporation for System Engineering services for a base year plus four one (1) year option periods, if exercised, for a total performance period of five (5) years. Late submissions of interest will not be considered for this procurement, but may be considered for future procurements.
