Description
This is modification #2 to the synopsis entitled Engineering Fabrication Services(EFS), NNJ12414076L, which was posted on November 8, 2011.NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA/JSC) plans to conduct an Engineering Fabrication Services(EFS) Industry Day. The presentation for Industry Day will be held viaWEBEX/teleconference from 11:00 a.m. (CST) to 12:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, March 2, 2012.The Government will also be providing One-on-One communication opportunities which can bescheduled from 12:00 p.m. (CST) to 4:00 p.m. (CST) on March 7th, 2012, and from 8:00 a.m.(CST) - 4:00 p.m. (CST) on March 8th, 2012. One-on-One meetings will not exceed 25minutes in length, and attendance is limited to four persons. Scheduling of One-on-Oneappointment times will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. EFS WEBEX INDUSTRY DAY: EFS WEBEX Industry Day is open to firms that are interested in pursuing contractingopportunities on the EFS procurement, and will begin at 11:00 a.m. (CST). To be able toaccess the EFS WEBEX Industry Day, please email Jon Prihoda atjonathan.p.prihoda@nasa.gov, and your email must include the following:1)Subject line: 'EFS WEBEX Industry Day RSVP' 2)Companys name and address3)The companys Point of Contacts (POC) names, telephone numbers, and e-mailaddresses4)Whether or not you would like your company to be included in the EFS InterestedParties List which will be posted after completion of the Industry DayE-mail reservations must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, March 1,2012. A confirmation email will be sent to acknowledge your reservation and providefurther instructions to join the WEBEX. The goals for the WEBEX Industry Day are to: 1. Provide information on the current Manufacturing Capabilities at Johnson Space Center.2. Promote competition on the proposed new EFS acquisition. 3. Allow NASA/JSC to better utilize industry input to improve the future Request forProposal (RFP). ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS: To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will also beavailable for private meetings with individual companies after the WEBEX Industry Day.The purpose of the EFS one-on-one communication meetings is to allow industry theopportunity to openly communicate with the Government by providing comments and inputsearly enough in the procurement process for consideration during the procurementstrategy. Any company may request a One-on-One meeting. One-on-One meetings can be either in personor via teleconference.The Meetings will not exceed 25 minutes in length and attendanceis limited to four persons. Appointments will be scheduled every 30 minutes between 1:00p.m. (CST) to 4:00 p.m. (CST) on March 7, and 8:00 a.m. (CST) to 4:00 p.m. (CST) on March8. Scheduling of appointment times will be on a first-come, first-servebasis.Please note that neither side will be making a formal presentation during the one-on onecommunications meetings, and recording devices are not permitted.Acceptable Topics for One-on-One Communications with Industry:- The general purpose of the current contract- Any information about JSC that NASA has already made accessible to the public or isotherwise being made available to all potential offerors- Historical information about the general nature or scope of prior similar contractswhose requirements may be similarly addressed in whole or in part under the currentacquisition- Information that describes the federal procurement process as defined in the FederalAcquisition Regulations (FAR), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) or other published procurementpolicy documents- Procurement specific information already published such as information contained inthe acquisition forecast, statement of work (SOW), and pre-solicitation synopsesUnacceptable Topics for One-on-One Communications with Industry:- Proprietary or confidential business information of contractor(s) or other businessentities performing similar ongoing efforts- Privacy Act protected information such as existing contractor employees personal data- Trade Secrets Act protected information- Speculation on what the Government might be looking for in the proposals- Different technical and management approaches- Technical efficiencies- Any particular Government emphasis- Performance of contractors providing similar requirements that could becomecompetitorsHow To Get Connected:It is your responsibility to monitor the websites for release of any informationregarding this acquisition and downloading your own copy of this information.
