- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the renewal of SOLHID user licenses for maintenance of equipment and software located in William J. Hughes Technical Center and Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. SOLHID - Solaris Host Interface Device, BTI DBG, HID 370 - Channel Software, HID - Device Drivers, and HID - Firmware Emulation are Sunhillo products used on the User Request Evaluation Tool. This product is only offered and maintained by Sunhillo Corporation. The FAA contemplates awarding a purchase order to fulfill this requirement, with a period of performance of 3/31/2012 - 3/30/2013. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only Sunhillo Corporation. West Berlin, NJ, in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. The FAA currently receives support from Sunhillo for these products. The determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm is necessitated due to the complex nature of the products requiring support, the unique combination of products requiring support, requirement for a single vendor to provide support at multiple locations, and required continuity of support for these products. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
