- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Research Triangle Park Procurement Operations Division [RTPPOD] intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc located at 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT 06484 for the acquisition of a Janus Luminex Integration Kit (P/N 7005314); a PlateStak Extended Single Diving Board (P/N PSS00071); a Janus/PlateStak Integration Kit (P/N 7002352); and, installation services to integrate the US EPA Cincinnati, Ohio's existing Luminex 100 instrument into its (previously purchased) Janus Automated Workstation. PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc has exclusive copyrights, patents, and/or trade secret ownership; and, therefore, is the only vendor that can satisfy the requirement. In order to ensure correct system integration and operation, the circumstance permitting is FAR 6.302-1 'only one source reasonably available'. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist. Therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to demonstrate the contractor's ability to provide the specific products needed to integrate the Luminex 100 instrument and Janus Automated Workstation and instead choosing merely to submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability, no later than 10 days after the date of this publication.
