- This acquisition is being issued in accordance with Far Subpart 13. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicition; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicburg, PA has a requirement for Dell Precision T3500N (12 Each) and 2Port DVI VGA KVM Switch Dual Monitor KVM Switches (12 Each). Solicitation N00104-12-Q-Q233 is issued as a Request for Quote. The North American Industrial Classification Systems Code is 334112 with a size standard of 1,000. This is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside therefore only small businesses shall reply to this RFQ. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote confirming to the solicitation provides the most advatageous price to the Government. Brand Name Justification: Dell Precision T3500N: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has a requirement for 12 Dell Precision T3500N workstations. The Precision T3500's are in addition to an existing group of Dell Precision T3500N computers. The workstations are for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and the platform is specific to the program being run on them. Deviating from the hardware configuration would cause significant rework and testing. StarTech KVM Switches: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has a requirement for Startech KVM Switches. This requirement is to support the addition of additional computers to an existing network. Startech was chosen for its combination of technical specifications meeting the customer's needs, that is, it is the only brand that could be found that combines 2-port DVI with VGA dual monitor as well as audio and USB 2.0 and supports a video resolution of 1920x1440, is RoHS compliant, and has a 3 year manufacturers warranty. Contractor's quote is due by 06:00 A.M., EST on 12 March 2012, and shall be valid for 30 days.
