- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. On behalf of the USA Resource and Program Agency, the Army Contracting Command - National Capital Region (ACC-NCR) intends to procure facility space, set-up and breakdown of all tables, chairs, house provided risers/staging, service areas, and all other services required to host the Army's 237th Birthday celebration. The Contractor shall provide a facility within 25 miles (driving distance) of the Pentagon to accommodate at least 1800 guests for a formal sit-down dinner, entertainment, and dancing. The contractor's facility shall provide at least 50,000 square feet in the dining/entertainment space and be handicap accessible. The period of performance is from 6:00 AM on Friday June 15, 2012 through 11:59 AM on Sunday 17 June 2012 (with access to dead case storage, loading dock, entire ballroom, and stage no later than 6:00 AM on Friday 15 June 2012). To be considered for this contract, contractors must meet the specifications/accommodations in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). All responsible sources that can meet the requirements and provide the items listed above and within the PWS may respond to this solicitation by submitting a cost and technical proposal, hotel contract, and descriptive literature to Ryan Macdonald via email to ryan.m.macdonald@us.army.mil by 1:00 PM, Monday, 27 February 2012, Eastern Standard Time. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before the Date of Award. All questions should be sent to the email address above. No phone calls will be honored. Award will be made on a Best Value basis, by government purchase order, according to the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation has been posted before. Due to changes in the PWS, the solicitation is being posted again to see if anyone in industry can meet the new requirements. The new PWS is attached.
