- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Raytheon for the procurement of approximately 24 APX-119 Mode 4 Bypass, KIV Crypto Caution Bypass Module Assembly Part Number: 4088697-0501 to be delivered FOB Destination at Command Fleet Logistics Support Wing located in Forth Worth, TX 9 months after contract award. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Raytheon is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the APX-119 IFF Digital Transponder and its related equipment and is the only known qualified, responsible source that can furnish the required supplies and meet the Government's schedule requirements. Any interested parties may submit a capability statement for the Government's consideration within 15 days of the publication of this notice. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with Raytheon at the following address: 6260 Guardian Gateway Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1300. To be eligible for contract award, a contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. For instructions on registering with the CCR, please see the CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
