- Description
- The Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the Medium Range Maritime Unmanned Aerial System (MRMUAS) is hereby cancelled. No re-solicitation is planned and no further action will be taken. Rationale The FY13 President's budget announced termination of Medium Range Maritime Unmanned Aerial System (MRMUAS) program; however, the Navy was still considering awarding the MRMUAS BAA efforts in 2012 because of the positive benefits to other current and future UAS programs. After considerable deliberation and weighing these broader benefits against fiscal constraints, the Navy has decided to fund completion of the Analysis of Alternatives but will not go forward with the award of the BAA studies. The decision not to award the BAA study contracts is driven solely by budgetary constraints. The Naval Air Systems Command appreciates the effort put forth by all respondents to this solicitation and looks forward to participation by industry in future UAS solicitations.
