- The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to solicit and award, in accordance with FAR 6.203, Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Small Business Set-aside, an Indefinite delivery, Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract with Firm Fixed Price Task Orders for repair, modification, or improvements to the NAVOCEANO Small Boat Inventory. This inventory includes eleven (11) 34 foot, Hydrographic Survey Launches (HSLs), with open aft cockpit, fore and aft cabin, and mid engine; one (1) converted 1985, 46ft, sport fishing yacht known as the Bertram Training Boat; three (3) 40ft, aluminum hulled catamarans (SWATH); one (1) Zodiac, 7m Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB); two (2) 27ft Safeboats; two (2) 30ft SeaArks and all associated systems. These boats are stationed at Stennis Space Center, MS or berthed at the Boat Operations Branch (BOB) facility located at Pass Christian Harbor, Pass Christian, MS. The scope of work requires a qualified boat yard, located within 120 nautical miles of Pass Christian Harbor, MS, to make repairs to the hull/systems of the HSL/survey boats as required. The period of performance is a base one year period from date of award, plus two (2) one-year option periods. Contract value is estimated to be between $2-3 million over the life of the contract. This requirement is 100 percent set-aside for small business and will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12 Commercial Items and FAR Part 15. A firm-fixed price award is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Solicitation number N62306-12-R-9S01 will be available, on/about 12 Mar 2012 for download from the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil under the heading Business Opportunities. Potential offerors are hereby notified that this office no longer issues hard copies of the solicitation or amendments. Prospective offerors should access the NECO website periodically for any additional solicitation or amendment. Offerors must be registered in the CCR database prior to award. Failure to register in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
