Description
The Project Manager Defense Wide Transmission Systems (PM-DWTS) has a requirement to provide a single point of contact for procurement of 3800 EA iConnex e800 modems encased in a chassis assembly, 60 EA eM1D1 line cards, 40 EA eM0DM line cards, and 3 EA 15052 Universal Satellite Hubs. Requirements of the chassis assembly: 6 sides, integrated active cooling mechanism, mounting points consistent with AN/TSC-183A modem tray, and hardware for secure mounting to AN/TSC-183A modem tray. External interfaces operationally tied to modem (Rear): 1x female F-type for IF receive, 1x female F-type for IF transmit, 1x female F-type for IF receive signal monitoring, 1x female RJ-45 RS-232 for console, 1x female RJ-45 type for Ethernet, 1x female 4-pin DIN power jack accepting 24V DC for modem operation. External indicators operationally tied to modem (Front): All inherent modem operational indicators. External indicators operationally tied to modem (Front or Rear) All inherent modem fault indicators Army Contracting Command - Rock Island is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential companies (sources) capable of, and interested in providing, hardware, software, documentation, and, incidental services to authorized users worldwide. Incidental services include software and license upgrades, warranty and maintenance services, upgrade oversight, troubleshooting assistance, and priority RMA turnaround. All software and manufacturer licensing required for indefinite, full-feature operation. All items must include 5 year, Premium iSupport and 2 year iDirect Warranty. Hardware and software delivery, as well as performance of warranty and maintenance services, will be required at CONUS Government sites. This request is for planning purposes only; it is not a request for proposal. No solicitation exists at this time and there is no guarantee a formal solicitation will be issued by the Government as a result of responses to this RFI. The Government will not be liable for payment of any response preparation expenses. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Companies capable of and interested in providing these services to the U.S. Army are invited to respond with a ten (10) page maximum White Paper detailing their ability to provide these IP-based Satellite Communications Modems products and services. The response must describe the company's capability and experience in providing such products and services, both in-plant and on-site, CONUS and OCONUS. The response must provide details of the company's experience in providing IP-based Satellite Communications Modems products and services. The response must describe the company's products and support. Proprietary and/or competition sensitive information submitted in response to this RFI announcement shall be conspicuously marked so and will be protected as such by the Government recipient. If your company is currently a GSA schedule holder, please identify if your company has this capability under which schedule. All interested firms that possess the capabilities addressed herein are encouraged to respond to the RFI by providing the information specified by March 5th, 2012. Respondents are requested to submit one electronic copy of the response to Mr. Luke Maloney at luke.m.maloney.civ@mail.mil. Include RFI - Satellite Modems in the subject line. NOTE: the use of a RFI name is for tracking purposes only. All requests for further information must be via email to Mr. Jeremy Miller at jeremy.h.miller.civ@mail.mil.
