Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIR WD), China Lake, CA intends to issue a modification to extend the period of performance on an existing contract on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract is for System Configuration Set (SCS) support for the Marine Corps H-1 aircraft. This action will extend the period of performance of the current contract from 2 Mar 12 through NTE 28 AUG 12. There will be no increase to the level of effort or dollar value of the contract. An SCS is a combination of software and hardware configuration items (CIs) that are integrated into a previously deployed baseline configuration and are delivered to the Fleet as highly integrated software and hardware packages. Delivery is FOB destination. Delivery schedules are identified for each SCS. As the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AH-1 and UH-1 aircraft, Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. is the only source qualified to satisfy this requirement. Bell has the unique integration capability needed to perform this effort and ensure compatibility between software and hardware systems due to ongoing changes, upgrades, and enhancements. No solicitation will be issued; however, any firms believing that they can fulfill the requirement may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing its ability to do so without causing programmatic hardships. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses and requests shall be submitted by email to rowena.geyer@navy.mil or to Commander, Code 254100D (R. Geyer), NAVAIR WD, 429 E. Bowen Rd, MS 4015, China Lake, CA 93555-6108. Award is anticipated on or about 10 Mar 12. See numbered notes 22 and 26.
