- Draft Performance Work Statement This is a synopsis stating that the United States Air Force contemplates issuing a competitive solicitation for Radiation Therapy Physicist Support. This anticipated solicitation will be to provide all labor, management, and supervision of contractor staff and the reports required to provide the services of the Radiation Therapy Certified Medical Physicist. Estimated coverage is for 0.6 of a full time employee (FTE), or 1,152 hours, up to but not exceeding 1 FTE, or 1,920 hours. The Radiation Therapy-Certified Medical Physicist shall oversee the Radiation Oncology physics program, including technical direction of the staff physicist, medical dosimetrist(s), therapy biomedical engineers and other physics support staff personnel. Contractor employee(s) shall be present during normal duty hours for at least 62 hours per month and 16 hours per week and shall divide their time evenly throughout the month. Hours per month vary depending on mission and special procedures. The solicitation number for this requirement is going to be FA8601-12-T-0122 and will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. The contemplated contract is to be Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity for one base year and four one-year option periods. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 26 March 2012. This acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 621512 "Diagnostic Imaging Center", size standard $13.5 Million. The Department of Defense has determined the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be the single DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD. Contractors must be registered in CCR prior to contract award. CCR can be accessed at https://www.bpn.gov. All interested offerors must download documents from http://www.fbo.gov. No hard copies will be available. All interested offerors are requested to electronically register in order to receive e-mail notification of updates to this solicitation. A draft copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this pre-solicitation notice. Note that the PWS is subject to change.
