Request for Information (RFI) - Intravenous Infusion PumpsDUE: COB March 26, 2012The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, AdvancedTechnology Branch (Code 52130) is seeking information on commercially-availableintravenous (IV) infusion pumps. IV pumps are devices used to deliver accuraterates of IV fluids for both medication administration and volume infusion.The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) itemnumber for this equipment is 09ME-06-PUMP: Intravenous Pumps. The primaryfocus of this request is on portable IV pumps used for pre-hospital care andground, fixed-wing, or rotary-wing transport. The target audience for thisinformation is emergency medical response personnel and all submittals shouldbe suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for the DHS System Assessment andValidation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which aims to conductobjective comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment andsystems and provide those results with the emergency responder community. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used inSAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietaryinformation in response to this RFI. SPECIFIC INFORMATION SOUGHT includes: (1)Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number ofemployees. (2) Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. (3) Apoint of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contact's phonenumber and e-mail address. (4) Product name and a brief description (75 wordsor less) of each IV pump. (5)Cost information such as purchase price andGeneral Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects.If a SAVER project on this type of equipment is executed, the equipmentselection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveysand focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback shouldnot be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors maybe contacted following submission for more detailed product information.Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Programdocuments. SUBMITTALSRespondents are REQUIRED to complete the attached product summary questionnaire(IV Pumps_RFI_pub.pdf) for each product and submit the questionnaires followingthe instructions on the first page of the questionnaire.
