- SOLICITATION {FA4887-12-R-0007}. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE. The solicitation will be issued as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside pursuant to FAR 6.206 and Subpart 19.502-1 requirements. The government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for Airfield Chemical Rubber Removal at Luke AFB, Arizona and Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field, Gila Bend, Arizona. The proposed contract will be an IDIQ contract with a base year and four (4) 12 month option years. The projected dollar value of construction is between $500K - $1M. This contract will require the use of an environmentally approved chemical method of rubber removal. The contractor will be required to provide all materials, supplies, labor, tools and equipment used in the performance of this contract. There will be no Government Furnished Equipment or Property used in the performance of this contract. All work to be performed on the resulting contract will be accomplished primarily on late evenings and weekends. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 237310 and associated annual size standard is $33.5 million. The guaranteed minimum contract amount is $50,000 for the Base Period. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading from the internet (GPE FEDBIZOPS website: https://www.fbo.gov/) address on approximately 5 March 2012 with a closing date scheduled for 6 April 2012. All responsible sources meeting the criteria stated therein may submit a proposal. The Government shall consider all such proposals. All potential contractors must have current registration with the Central Contractor Registry (website: https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx) to be eligible for award and current updates on the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA website: https://orca.bpn.gov/). In addition, please note that the posting date cited above is an estimate, not an actual. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation cost.
