- The USAID HIV/AIDS Prevention Team Leader fills a key technical and management role on the Swaziland USG HIV/AIDS Team. The HIV/AIDS Prevention Team Leader contributes to the team's ability to achieve results by providing essential programmatic and technical expertise and guidance within the team for all HIV/AIDS prevention components of the Swaziland program. In the PEPFAR Swaziland current context this includes strategies for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), medical male circumcision (MMC), and behavioral and structural interventions. The HIV/AIDS Prevention Team Leader provides strategic guidance to the interagency USG team and implementing partners for the implementation of the new PEPFAR Guidance for the Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections. The incumbent is also the subject matter expert for behavioral interventions for HIV prevention, including condom programming, structural interventions, most-at-risk populations, positive health, dignity and prevention (PHDP) and interventions targeting young people. The incumbent serves as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) or Activity Manager for PEPFAR-funded awards and contracts issued by the Regional HIV/AIDS Program (RHAP), as well as USAID/W-procured Field Support activities. The incumbent is supervised by the USAID PEPFAR Program Director.
