Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled COMPUTATIONAL AND INFORMATIONSCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OFFICE - SCIENTIFIC COMPUTING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES (CISTO-SCTS)NNG12411365R which was posted on December 01, 2011. You are notified that the followingchanges are made: This amendment is to invite Potential Offerors for a Pre-solicitation conference to visitand tour the NASA Computational and Information Sciences and Technology Office (CISTO)facilities at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The tour is scheduled on Thursday,March 08, 2012 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in Building 28 Room E210. All attendees must beregistered in advance.Please include your full name, Company name and address and aphone number where you can be reached, along with a statement that the attendee is a U.S.Citizen. All attendees must enter at the Main Gate, located at 8800 Greenbelt Road, and check inat the security building located to the right of the gate. There is a parking lot infront of the building for your convenience. Potential Offerors will be limited to 3participants for this Pre-solicitation conference. Security will check you in and provideyou with a badge. You must be on the list of attendees that have pre-registered, youmust be a U.S. Citizen and you must show ID in order to receive a visitors badge and gainentrance to the Center. If you have last minute substitutions of individuals, Securitywill contact us for entry permission. Please allow ample time at Security. The conference will entail an overview of the Draft RFP, which is anticipated to bereleased for Contractor review by the end of February, and a tour of the NCCS ClimateData Theater, NCCS Computer Rooms, Science and Engineering Network (SEN) Computer Room,and the Direct Readout Laboratory (DRL) Facility. The tours will be handled in smallgroups for safety of participants moving through the locations. Outside of the tours,there will not be any break-out sessions or one on one meetings during this conference. You are invited to bring your questions, in writing, or otherwise. There will be aquestion and answer period. All questions in writing may not be answered at theconference but will be collected so that both questions and answers can be posted on FedBiz Ops for your future reference. Oral questions that may be asked during theconference may be answered but will be written down by our staff and answers will beposted on Fed Biz Ops as well.Please note that all questions generated at theconference and later posted on Fed Biz Ops will be anonymous. Further, Contractors arewelcome to send questions, in writing, in advance of the conference if preferred. Pleasesend advance questions to Keith.Long@nasa.gov.All written questions are requested to besubmitted by March 15, 2012.This conference is in regards to the Draft RFP for the CISTO-SCTS procurement. Nothingstated at the conference will be construed as binding. Communications before the final request for proposal is released is considered formal andrestricted. NASA personnel are permitted to exchange information with a potential offerorregarding current contract operations with the presence of the Contracting Officer and/ordesignee. Advice or feedback on a potential offerors ideas/approach for fulfillingfuture requirements is non-permissible. Information exchange will be limited to how thecurrent contract operates.Potential Offerors interested in touring the NCCS facility should contact Keith Long byemail at Keith.Long@nasa.gov no later than March 01, 2012.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application.
