Description
Yellowstone National Park (YNP) has a requirement for the delivery, installation, rental, and removal of scaffolding around the Administration Building (MA 36) located in Mammoth Hot Springs, (Park County) WY, 82190. The purpose of the scaffolding is to provide access for National Park Service employees to replace the roof tiles on the building. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 532490 (Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing) with an associated small business size standard of 7 million dollars. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small-Business concerns. This is a competitive acquisition using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for the award of one firm-fixed-price contract. Request for Quotes (RFQ) P12PS212303 will be issued in approximately 5 days or less. The quote due date and time will be contained in the RFQ and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. QUOTE PACKAGE:Submitting an electronic price quote only for this requirement is not acceptable. If you have difficulty locating any solicitation documents using the electronic system at the National Business Center IDEAS-EC, feel free to contact Aragon Liebzeit at Aragon_Liebzeit@nps.gov. In order for your quote to be considered you must include all of the following with your quote package:1.Signed/completed Standard Form 1449 (SF 1449).2.Past performance documentation. Complete one form (provided in Section K of the 1449 entitled: Past and Current Performance Documentation) for each past project submitted that is similar or the same as this Scope of Work and is at least 50% complete or was completed within the past 3 years from the date of this RFQ. 3.Acknowledgement of any amendments (if issued) is required.4.Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number.5.Make certain your CCR registration is up to date and includes the NAICS code listed above. SITE VISIT: No organized site visit will be conducted. You are welcome to walk the perimeter of the building at Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park. SUMMARY OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all labor, scaffolding, and other equipment necessary to transport and erect scaffolding completely around the perimeter of the Administration Building. All Scaffolding, walking and working surfaces, and the railing system shall meet or exceed OSHA Regulations. Once the roof work has been completed by Park Service staff, the contractor shall provide all the labor and equipment to dismantle the scaffolding and remove it and all associated items (mud sills, etc.) from the park, within 7 days after notification that the scaffolding is no longer needed. The Park Service has a fork lift that we can use to assist the contractor with unloading and loading trucks. Administration Building MA#36 is a massive three-story Stone Masonry building constructed in 1909. It is composed of two hipped roof wings connected by an intersecting center section that creates a "U"-shaped footprint. Approximate elevations from the ground to the roof eve of the building are as follows:The main roof eves are 36 ft. above the ground elevation on all four sides of the building; the Porch eves, on the front (west side) and on the (east side) are lower than the main roof eves and are approximately 32 ft. above the ground elevation. The perimeter around the building is approximately 600 feet. ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor shall have all scaffolding erected and ready for use by May 21, 2012. The scaffolding will be needed in place for approximately 3 months. IMPORTANT NOTE: The FedBizOpps response date listed elsewhere in this synopsis is for FedBizOpps archiving purposes only.
