- The Fish & Wildlife Service (Southeast Region) in Atlanta, Georgia 30345 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a sole source contract order for emergency services of demolition, asbestos removal, and removal of assets damaged because of Hurricane Irene to Phelps & White Construction Company, 208 Bull Hill Road, Windsor, North Carolina 27983. This work is to begin on or about February 27, 2012. Authority cited: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) only one responsible source reasonably available that will satisfy Agency requirements. The proposed action will result in a firm fixed price purchase. The NAICS code is 238910. The work requirement is located at Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, 10 miles south of Nags Head, North Carolina. http://www.fws.gov/peaisland/ THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within two (2) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in successive years. Facsimile submissions and oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Written responses shall provide evidence that the offeror can provide all of the requirements. Responses must be received no later than 24 February 2012, 3:00 pm, Eastern Time.
