- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Comsol, Inc., 1 New England Executive Park STE 350, Burlington, MA, 01803-5001. This procurement is for three Comsol Multiphysics Single User Licenses, three Acoustics Modules, three Structural Mechanics Modules, three Material Library Modules, two Geomechanics Modules, two Subsurface Modules, one CAD Import Module, one Transfer Module, and one LiveLink for MATLAB Module. These capabilities are essential tools used in current reimbursable and military-direct programs; software being procured must be compatible with existing programs. Failure to procure this software will render all previous modeling performed with the software package non useable and will result in the loss of access to cutting edge simulations. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a Single Source. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist by 1:00 PM CST, Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
