Description
DARPA-SN-12-30: ADVANCED RF MAPPING (RADIOMAP) PROPOSERS' DAY DARPA will host a Proposers' Day conference for the Advanced RF Mapping (Radio Map) program on March 14, 2012 at CENTRA Technology, Inc. in Arlington, VA (4121 Wilson Blvd., 2nd floor, Arlington, VA 22203) from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in support of a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) DARPA-BAA-12-26 (expected to be released prior to the Conference). The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Advanced Radio Frequency (RF) Mapping (RadioMap) program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; provide a forum for potential proposers to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities; and, following the conference, conduct pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with the Program Manager as described below. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: DARPA anticipates releasing the BAA for Advanced RF Mapping with the objective described in this section. The objective of the Advanced RF Mapping program is to provide RF situational awareness employing a heterogeneous sensor network, whose constituent devices include RF receiver/transmitters deployed for other purposes such as tactical radios, using an approach that facilitates extension of the network to incorporate additional device types over time and to support additional applications. The goal is to provide RF mapping information that supports spectrum management, dynamic spectrum access communication systems, leaders of small tactical units, and EW/ISR systems and users. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than close of business (5:00 PM ET) March 7, 2012, by sending an email with: Full name: Organization: Email Address: Mail address: Telephone number: to: DARPA-BAA-12-26@darpa.mil. The word "PROPOSERS' DAY" must appear in the subject line of the email. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Due to space limitations of the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 100 registrants, and no more than 2 representatives per company or university. The Proposers' Day will be unclassified and open to the general public. All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Additionally, all U.S. Citizens are required to submit a U.S. Citizenship Verification form in order to attend this conference. Non-U.S. citizens are required to submit a DARPA Form 60 "Foreign National Visit Request". Forms will be emailed upon receipt of registration. The completed Citizenship Form or DARPA Form 60 must be returned to: DARPA-BAA-12-26@darpa.mil, no later than close of business March 7, 2012. The attendance roster will be released to all attendees after the conclusion of the conference. If you do not want your name to appear on the attendance roster you must so state in email to DARPA-BAA-12-26@darpa.mil. The Proposers' Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts. Attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to any potential related Broad Agency Announcements or potential research solicitations on this topic. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposers' Day. ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS WITH THE PROGRAM MANAGER: Afternoon one-on-one meetings with the DARPA Program Manager will be held at CENTRA Technology, Inc. beginning at 1:00 pm. The one-on-one sessions with the DARPA Program Manager can be scheduled by sending an email to DARPA-BAA-12-26@darpa.mil no later than close of business March 7, 2012, requesting a one-on-one meeting with the Program Manager. The words "ONE-ON-ONE MEETING" must appear in the subject line of the email. The time available for one-on-one meetings on March 14 is limited and meetings will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Organizations requesting a one-on-one meeting, but not getting one on March 14, will be given the opportunity of participating in a one-on-one meeting with the DARPA Program Manager on March 15, 2012 at a nearby location.
