- Description
- The General Services Administration announces the solicitation for the removal of lead based paint & asbestos abatement at the Charles A. Halleck Federal Building in Lafayette, Indiana. The scope of work consists of, but is not strictly limited to the following : mitigation of the lead-based paint in designated areas in the basement; abatement and replacement of asbestos-containing pipe insulation located in the same areas of the basement lead paint mitigation repainting areas in the basement as denoted by the solicitation drawings. The abatement of the asbestos-containing pipe insulation is to be performed in a manner that re-uses the containment constructed for lead paint abatement, and any other infrastructure and equipment that can be re-used. The asbestos-containing pipe insulation abatement is not required to be performed in sequence, but can be performed concurrently with, the lead paint abatement, as long as the contractor complies with the project specifications. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. Funds are not currently available. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 562910 with a size standard of $14 million. This is a negotiated procurement; there will NOT be a public bid opening. The solicitation will be available on or about March 8, 2012. All prospective offerors are invited to attend a pre-proposal conference to be held on-site on March 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM Eastern. Reference the Request for Proposal package for the Pre-Proposal Registration Form. In order to attend the pre-proposal conference, attendees must register in advance, complete and return the registration form and document security notice page. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as FedBizOpps(FBO). FedBizOpps is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedBizOpps, you will first be required to register with CCR (Central Contractor's Registration) database. You may access CCR at the following URL, www.bpn.gov. Once you register with CCR you will be required to register with FedBizOpps. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedBizOpps via the following URL, www.fbo.gov. Also, beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors were required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be on, or about April 10, 2012 at 3:00 pm(CST).
