Description

J&A Extension of Services It is the government's intent to extend task order FA8823-11-F-0001 two weeks to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This extension is necessary to continue to meet mission critical requirements, mitigate the impact of personnel turnover, and to support transition to competitively award a follow-on task order. The period of performance for this extension is 28 January 2012 through 10 February 2012. This extension is strictly for the continuation of Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Space and Missile Systems Center, Space Logistics Directorate and related space organizations. This extension will support the Air Force's immediate need to bridge a gap in service from the end of the current A&AS task order which expires 27 January 2012 and award of the follow-on task order. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. As stated above, the Air Force intends to award the two-week extension described herein to the incumbent contractor.
